Not a camp.Not an exhibition tour.Not a festival of participation.International tournament cricket.
A group stage, knockouts and a final, inside a proper tour, in a country that invited us in. Nine nights. Six grounds. Squads from three continents.
Every match umpired, scored and live streamed.
Touring sides meet national age-group squads and the strongest academies in the regions we play in — Franklyn Stephenson in Barbados, Excel in Trinidad — not whoever happens to be nearby.
Every tournament starts with the host nation inviting us in. The ministries of tourism and sport host it. We run it with the national cricket board.
That relationship is the hard part, and it is already built with our Caribbean partners.
Tobago shows the growth on its own: eight teams in 2025, ten in 2026, and an ongoing contract carrying it into a third year in 2027.
THE 2027 CALENDAR
Four of these are already full a year and a half out, and St Vincent is open for 2028.
Sedbergh, Oakham, Surrey Academic Cricket Scholars and Ludimos are all entered for St Vincent in February 2027, with Phillip DeFreitas leading Ludimos. Queen Elizabeth's Barnet were the first school side to tour with the Series, and Dean Headley — ECB Level 4, Director of Cricket at Blundell's — has since joined the coaching staff.
At the Tobago Trophy and the UK Cricket Festival, eleven of the twenty-four teams had played a Global Cricket Series tournament before. They come back.
Each of these has grown every year the Series has run, and the 2027 calendar doubles the schedule again — ten tournaments across eight countries.
All figures recorded across the five tournaments of 2026. 428 is players alone; around 500 including travelling staff.
What exists today is a set of tournaments that works. The format holds up. Host nations want us back and book us a year and a half out. The business behind it is licensed, staffed and running.
What doesn't exist yet is the thing those foundations could carry. That part is still being shaped — which is exactly why this is the right moment for the conversation.
The per-tournament economics are straightforward, and we are happy to walk through them.
We're not looking for someone simply to front the Global Cricket Series. We're interested in whether Kevin could help shape what it becomes.
The fit, as we see it: international credibility that opens doors in every cricketing nation; an attacking, ambitious view of how the game should be played and presented; a track record of building businesses as well as a career; and a real understanding of media, audience and reach.
A word on who is asking. Our team invented Stick Cricket — its biggest day ever was the day after the 2005 Ashes. We have been building cricket products and running tours ever since: The Cricket Asylum in Halifax since 2012, and TCA Sports Tours, an ATOL and PTS-accredited operator.
Why now: we move into 2028 with new tournaments going live. The model is proven on one tournament. The job is turning that one into ten, with more schools coming in behind it — and that is the part we would want help with.
We'd want the idea challenged and sharpened, not endorsed.
The tournaments only grow if they're worth playing in. That means real opposition, real conditions, and real value left behind in the countries that host us. For most of these players it is the first tournament they have played overseas.
The Global Cricket Series has moved beyond being an idea. The tournaments are running, teams are travelling and host nations are engaging. We now want to explore how far the platform could go with the right people involved.
We're not asking for a commitment. Fifteen minutes is enough to walk through what's running now, the numbers underneath it, and which of the five directions is worth pursuing.
Let's have a conversationA PRIVATE INTRODUCTION FOR KEVIN PIETERSEN
The Global Cricket Series brings squads from three continents together to play proper multi-format tournaments in nations that have invited us in — principally across the Caribbean. Five tournaments, four countries and 110 matches in 2026 alone.
